In Marigold Yellow Nursery class, the children have two VERY special friends! Their names are Eddie the travellin' camel and his pal, Camela. Each week, Eddie and Camela go home with one of the children to experience new and wonderful adventures! In the last 2 years, Eddie has been almost everywhere (well that's how it feels) and has tried SO many new activities and he was introduced to Camela along the way. The children love Eddie and Camela and they are learning many new things from them. The children have learned how to take responsibility as they must care for Eddie, Camela, the journal (in his journal, the children keep a record of his activities during the week), and the passport which contains lots of great stamps, stickers, entry passes and even customs stamps from around the world! They have also learned how to share their experiences with their friends as they recollect their past experiences.
We would LOVE you to come along on some of Eddie's journeys!!

This week, Eddie and Camela were at Amandine's house and what fun they had!! They went swimming, visited Amandine's friend Alexandre, and even had their own special bed right beside Amandine's! The most exciting thing that they did was play in a homemade tent in the living room with Amandine, her brother and her Papa!! It was so much fun... they have never built their own imaginary tent before! How creative :)

Eddie and Camela ventured off to Nicolas' house for their first visit of the year. Their very first evening was quite exciting as it was a reunion! They had a chance to meet some of theire friends from the beginning of TCG and when they began to travel with Marigold Yellow students FIVE years ago!! There was Kaylee from 2005, Genevieve from 2006, Lauren and Oliver from 2007, and now Nicolas from this year. What a way to start another great year of travels for Eddie and Camela. Nicolas also took Eddie and Camela ice skating and bowling! What a fantastic week... thanks Nicolas!! |
