Having a Photographer in Residence was a new phenomenon for us at TCG. Have a look at some of the things the children had to say about the whole experience...
Connor, Nursery, “I want to take a photo again!”
Sean, “This is my camera.”
Leopard class, “Whoooaaaahhh, it’s REALLY big!”
Sean shows his reflector. Children, “It’s so shiny! Is it made of metal?”
Lavender class, “Look – there’s a man! Who is it? It’s Miss Isabell’s dad!”
Gazelle class, “Why do we need to take photographs today?”
Sean, “Because we can’t take them yesterday.”
Child in Arabian Hare, “I’m taking photos of NOTHING!”
Falcon child, “I keep forgetting to take people’s heads!”
Arabian Oryx Model, “Try to do a photo when I’m still actually moving, OK?”
Photographer, “I’m trying, I’m trying! Try to jump slower.”
Gazelle Photographer, “Aliya, don’t swish your legs like that – they’re getting in the way. Do this instead.” (Demonstrates a hand and arm movement)
Gazelle Model, “Take some of this.”
Photographer, “No – I want to try it like this.”
From Day One on, all over school, “Hi Mr. Sean.” “Hello Mr. Sean.” “Mr. Sean, Mr. Sean – do you remember me?”
Sean (on Day Five), “I’m getting followed around like a member of the Beatles!”
Teacher: "Do you remember the name of the photographer who came to class yesterday?"
Teresa (Falcon Class): "Mr. Sean. Like Sean the Sheep!!!"
